Kimberlite's Freshly Bruin

It is with a heavy heart I announce the passing of "Bruin" beloved companion of Sharon and Chris. He was 9 years old.

Exploring

The boys finally ventured out of the box yesterday and did some strolling around the kitchen. I put blankets out on the floor so they have some traction, otherwise they do a "Bambi" on the floor. They explored for about 10 minutes and then Sparkle came along and fed them. And then it was nap time.

Real Canadian Boys

The Three Tenors are progressing, however, I have had some complaints that they are not providing enough entertainment. Sorry. They are just contented, very FAT puppies. They have been doing some puppy things like licking their brother's face, and strolling around the whelping box, but, for the most part these guys have been doing a lot of drinking and a lot of sleeping. Real Canadian boys!

Let's hope more action will be forthcoming in the next couple of days.

Sunday Morning Update

Everyone is doing just great. The Tenors are walking along on jelly legs and starting to do little barks. They are beginning to recognize each other and also respond to my voice. This next week will make a huge transition - they will become more aware of their surrounding and soon we'll see them playing. Now the fun beings.

The 2009 Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America is having their national specialty this week in Portland, Oregon. I am pleased to announce that Joey's daughter "Ellie" earned 3rd place in Futurity and 2nd place in the 12-18 month class.

Dylan turns 8
